I recently got my Nanoleaf blocks and despite one of the worst customer service experiences of my life the product itself is very impressive. It’s a shame there product design team didn’t handle the customer service journey.

Anyway, the block is a very cool and effective way to add a feature to any room. I recently just had this fitted in my livingroom on my tv wall to compliment my 75 inch tv and a whole host of other smart lights. I got the holiday string lights for my daughters first Christmas last year and was very impressed which lead me to buy the blocks. The are pretty straightforward to deal with and install and you can literally change the combo up as you go while connected to power and shuffle and connect and disconnect as you like. Pro tip, lay them out of the floor, use the layout tool for help but connect them up to power and use the linkers. I started with my basic shape, then when it half resembled what I was looking for done a test with some colour and a bit more shuffling and boom it looks great. I did however get 2 faulty linkers but Nanoleaf got them replaced right away. So if your light goes white but dosent sync the colors from the rest of your model check with a different linker first as it’s more likely that than the panel. The colours, scenes, AI mode there’s a lot of fun features to play about with including music sync which I love. My biggest fave is the linking the scenes you favourite to Apple home which is a massive win and something introduced since Christmas. It’s also very versatile and for once you can watch the install video and it’s just as easy as the video when you get hands on. Overall I absolutely love this product and so do many of my customers who we set up for there own smart home install. The mounting tape they provide is one of the best mounting tapes I have came across and I actually buy extra of them from the replacement parts section as it’s a toolbox staple of mines as so many other tapes are useless. So you won’t be disappointed with the product, but the service, that’s a story for another day. Based entirely on the product and not the service I give this 5 stars.
