Installation can be a bit hit and miss depending on your network. I use Apple Home across an Eero Pro mesh, and a lot of perseverance and patience was needed to get the bulbs using the Thread network instead of Bluetooth connectivity.
BUT, once it’s done it’s done! Using Matter these bulbs are incredibly responsive and snappy, more so than the previous “works with Apple HomeKit” generation. They seem very stable so far and I hope they last longer than the previous model.
For Apple Home users: circadian/adaptive lighting via Matter is expected to arrive soon.
