(Almost) Exactly what I was looking for :)

I was looking for a way to directly control some of my Nanoleafs without the app. It would be even better if one switch could handle more than one light.

I have waited for a product like this

It’s so much more comfortable to turn on and off my lights with the remote.
Before I used my phone to turn three lights on and off.
And my smart hub often doesn’t work with voice.
So it’s a welcoming addition to the smart lights in my room

Finally, lights that work.

I have installed more than 30 Matter spotlights (Nanoleaf Essentials) all over my house but they never worked well either with the Nanoleaf app (which is terrible) or Google Home. Lights will always go offline for no reason and did not work consistently at tall. It was such a frustrating experience until the Sense+ switches came along. They communicate with the lights with a proprietary protocol as I understand it, which means they work. I can finally turn lights on and off consistently, dim them, and change colors. A bit on the expensive side but if you’ve already spent a fortune on Nanoleaf lights, you need these switches to make them work.

Matter Beta support has put some faith back into this product

I struggle to put 4 stars. it’s more like 3.5 right now. the reason i rounded up instead of down, is that with Matter beta support i can finally control non-Nanoleaf lights. I’ve looked online for other switches and I couldn't find something with as much functionality in the same price range. There are a few overlooked things in the app that aren’t matter related that hold back this product. I’ve created 3 different control groups while testing. I only have one switch. There’s some weird Siri - control group interaction that makes Siri commands respect the dimmer duration, even though the switch is no longer in the group where the Siri dimming behaviour is observed. There’s no way of removing it because the control groups aren’t present in the app if the switch isn’t in them, but the settings are still saved somewhere. But all of that seems like even though the product was rushed at least in terms of the software support, it can be all fixed with updates. I’ve tested motion and light sensors and they seem to work fine. I’m actually thinking of ordering a few more even with the current state of things to replace the ‘dumb’ switches all around the apartment.

Devs, pretty please, when you roll out the full Matter support, please figure out how to integrate the motion and lighting sensors into Homekit in such a way that they could be used in shortcuts and/or automations :)
